Before The Story - Quick Reference Points for Me (and possibly you too!)
1. Never Forget Where You Cometh Frometh
Hospital was under construction forcing my great grandma and mother to have drive to the next closest hospital. Next to a potato field of all places!
This is where I was born and I will never forget that. I may not remember it and I may not have been the one to choose where I was born. However, those around me made it special. Lucky enough to born onto this planet! Alien or not 👽.
It truly does take a village to raise a child. It takes a lot of energy, a lot of resources, and a lot of patience. The village that raised me was a super friendly, small town, that has since become much more large since I left.
Hopefully I will get to come back and write about my revisit one day. I know it will both be an exciting and sad one. As a kid I remember so much about it although I didn't live there my whole life. Moments with my family, my great grandparents, weird farm stuff, trains driving by at 3 am in the morning in the backyard. All that fun stuff I miss!
I could sit and go into more detail and I will! But I mainly wanted to get these main points posted. Feel it is important to share and also keep in a safe place for my own reference. Simple reminders that keep me sane I suppose lol!

2. Sharing It All! (Both pleasant & unpleasant experiences)
Sharing unpleasant experiences is easily the hardest thing to face. At least for me that is! It's not that I do not want to share past experiences. It's that I don't want them to affect others and lead them to do similar. Or think of me differently and push me aside.
That's something I have to face though! That isn't anyone else's issue but my own. Without talking about it how will I ever learn to fix it?
That's where it starts! It started a long time ago but it's obvious to me. More work is needed! And like the late great controversial workout legend Jane Fonda said, "No pain, no gain."
Looking forward to sharing my life experiences and hope it inspires others to do the same! Get ready for some freaky, awkward and cringy stories people... 😅

3. Be yourself , treat yourself
Does not matter who you are, what you eat, where you come from or how you speak. This world wouldn't be here without people being themselves. Roll with the punches, let mother nature take its course, and "be like water" as Bruce Lee said many times.
Must admit, sometimes I don't even know how to be myself! The beautiful part about that is I can take a step back or better yet. Take a step into a different role for a little while. What's to stop you from shaking things up a bit and finding out what you truly like as well as do not like. Be yourself damn it! Or be someone else for a little while! Within reason of course. Then take a second to be awarded for your recent actions. Treat yourself! Also within reason 😆.

4. Tell Your Life's Entire Story ASAP
This topic is what brought me here this morning. It's 2:24am October 16th, 2019. Stories don't write themselves and memories quickly fade and change themselves. It's important to never forget where you came from so it's also important to tell your story.
The way I see it works for me now is if I tell my entire story now in as much detail as possible. Not only can I preserve what I've always wanted to remember. I can physically & mentally catch up with myself in this wave of life I am all of a sudden riding. Literally writing it out can help organize my life in a way I never knew existed.
It seems simple and in many ways it! It is literally just taking the time to write it out. In your own words the way you want to tell it. Other people in your life can help fill in the gaps of course because let's face it. Memory isn't perfect! And that is exactly why it is important to remember as quickly as possible. Get it on paper and get it over with so to speak.
When I studied Languages & Emotions out of high school it occurred to me why Police have witnesses write an incident report. Policeman also write an incident report of their account on the situation. They also go as far as to write another incident report at the end of their shift about their entire day.
Why do they do this? Memories fade & if they don't fade something worse happens. Your memory changes and turns into something different. Something that maybe didn't really actually happen. The quicker you write down what you witness or record it in some way shape or form. The better you will be able to take that memory with you safely for as long as you need. Take it a step further even! Test your memory and write down a new account. Audit your writings and compare your two recordings. Your brain will love you!!!
Whew got off topic sorry ladies and gents...

5. Useful Information Is Never TMI
Cant argue with that!
Bringing your knowledge, your resources, and your thoughts to the table can never be a bad thing as long as it is constructive.
A Googler told me once in the trenches of Arizona here, "A lot of us don't actually believe too much information is a bad thing. There is no such thing as too much information."
Yes a Google employee (co-worker) told me this and from that day on I had a hard time understanding. Too much of anything is can always be bad!
Realistically though, she was right! Yes in certain situations it is not okay to go overboard. For example, we don't take a 3-year old to see Bravehart because that could be a little too much info for someone so young. So long as there is not proper supervision and education involved.
However, if there was not prior useful information given to a parent about the movie. A parent would not have the power to make a healthier decision. Instead with no warning parents & kids alike have to find out the hard way. By actually seeing it to decide in the moment.
We can no longer argue the fact that Data & Information are now measurable, monetized, and have now surpassed Oil in terms of global value. I don't even need to cite sources for that one. It's just a known thing now!
Use all resources to seek out more information. The more the merrier. Share it with others to see what they think!
Just be careful with who you share things with. Odds are a 69-year young lady doesn't know a dang thing about cryptocurrency compadre. Therefore, not useful information for her yet. Maybe some day though! Or who knows maybe she's got some Ethereum or something?

6. Spice Things Up With Variety (hence why I have randomitis)
Randomitis is not to be 🌽fused with Gingervitis. Gingervitis not be confused with Gingivitis. Three different things here everyone!
Randomitis specifically was something I was self-diagnosed with back when I was young. It's not a bad or crippling condition however it does effect life similar to that of someone with obsessive compulsive disorder.
Many people refer to it as almost the exact opposite of obsessive. Described often as obsessed with all things random. For instance, someone with randomitis actively makes decisions every day to never do the same thing twice and continually strives to break daily self routines routinely.
If that's not confusing, you probably have randomitis too. You do not need to get checked, it is not a real condition, and please don't self-diagnose. Get a doctor and get second opinion too while you are at it.
Point here is explore a little! Don't live in a shell, don't hibernate in your cave for years on end. Your cave will always be there for you. Life is both too short and too long! So make the best of it and try something new for a change. It's really quite fun having randomitis! It's produced laugh lines and I'm only 27 xD side effect of the condition I guess.

7. Be More Present!
Giving presents to others is fine and dandy. Cards, text messages, surprise flowers, you name it. Presents are wonderful!
What is better than a wonderful present? A wonderful presence.
Give more credit to the moment you live. We all come too far not to enjoy ourselves and others company. In the age of tech, we forget about being more present. It is easier for us to be less vulnerable because of all these cool new things we get to have. However, the downside to this is that we get no face time with the people we care most about.
Let's be super real for a second! Everyone is super busy dealing with their daily routines and habits. It's extremely tough to take a second and try to see how you can commit time to seeing someone like friends or family.
Thank goodness we still love holidays otherwise I'd be worried no one would know who there family is any more. Lmao but all jokes aside! This last point is arguably one of the best on this list.
As much as it may be emotionally painful, or as tough to remember, or whatever the case may be. Showing yourself to others produces positive chemicals in our bodies that we need to stay positive. Even if just for a second!
It takes a village to raise someone. You may remove yourself from that village, but we all know we need the village just as much as it needs us.
Now to end on a quote from Kung Fu Panda that made me cry like a little wuss... 😭
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. And that is why it is called the Present."
